Tattoo
Before the tattoo :
Do you tattoo over scars, stretch marks or dark skin ?
👉 Yes ! Every skin is unique, and we adapt your project based on your skin texture and natural color.
⚡ Please note :
-
No tattooing over recent scars (less than one year old) or over keloid scars.
-
No tattooing over stretch marks that are still red or purple.
We always evaluate with you before starting, and no risks will be taken. 🛡️
What should I wear to my appointment ?
👉 Choose comfortable clothes that you can easily remove around the tattooed area.
🖤 Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty : a tattoo ink stain doesn’t come out in the wash... and believe us, we know what we’re talking about. 😅😅
Can I apply numbing cream before ?
👉 Always ask first ! Some creams with lidocaine can badly affect your skin and damage the result of your tattoo. No self-initiative without talking to us first.
⚠️ Important : legally, we are not allowed to apply numbing cream ourselves. If you decide to use one, it’s under your own responsibility.
We have a plant-based numbing spray that works very well during the session. 🌿 Just let us know if you have any plant allergies ! 😉
What if there’s hair where the tattoo will be ?
👉 Don’t worry, we shave the area right before tattooing.
🛁 But still, please come clean : a good shower beforehand is essential ! We love our job, but we didn’t sign up for tattooing while holding our breath. 😅 Thank you for respecting your tattoo artist ! 🙏
Can I tattoo my partner’s name ?
👉 Yes... but think it through very carefully ! 😉
What should I avoid before my appointment ?
- No alcohol 24h before the session (blood thins and makes tattooing harder).
- No drugs (some substances make the skin more sensitive or cause you to move uncontrollably).
- No aspirin or anti-inflammatories (increased bleeding).
- No tanning or sunburn (damaged skin cannot be tattooed properly).
- No excess caffeine (makes you nervous).
- No all-nighters (rested body = better pain management and faster healing).
- No bruises or trauma on the tattooed area.
✨ In short : come well-rested, hydrated, and relaxed for the best possible result !
I'm sick, can I still come ?
👉 If you are sick (cold, flu, infection...), it’s better to postpone your appointment.
Your body heals better when it's healthy, and it also prevents infecting others. 🤧
Should I eat before getting tattooed ?
👉 Yes ! A good meal beforehand will help you avoid feeling faint or dizzy.
During the session, you can have a sugary drink, but no food to maintain hygiene. 🍫🚫
If the session is long and crosses lunchtime, you can eat during the planned break. 🥪
Does it hurt ?
👉 A tattoo stings a bit, that’s normal.
The pain depends greatly on your sensitivity and the area being tattooed.
Breathe calmly, it really helps. 💨
Where does it hurt the most ?
👉 Generally, thin or bony areas (ribs, feet, hands, neck) are more sensitive.
But everyone reacts differently ! What’s painful for one person may not be for another. 😌
Can I bring my own image ?
👉 Yes, of course !
You can send it to us through the contact form.
We will adapt it together to make a strong and durable tattoo. 🎨
Do you tattoo minors ?
👉 No, you must be of legal age to get tattooed.
Even with parental consent, we do not tattoo minors.
How do I choose the size of my tattoo ?
👉 We will discuss together to find the ideal size : readable, beautiful, and durable.
It’s mainly your choice, but we will give you professional advice to help you. 📏
Can you modify an old tattoo ?
👉 Yes, depending on the existing tattoo.
Send us a picture via the form, and we will tell you what’s possible.
Can I get tattooed while pregnant or breastfeeding ?
👉 No.
For your health and your baby’s health, it’s recommended to wait until after pregnancy and breastfeeding. ❤️
During pregnancy, your immune system is more fragile, and there’s a small risk of infection.
While breastfeeding, an infection or reaction could also be transmitted through the milk.
That’s why, as a precaution, we prefer to wait until everything is over to tattoo safely.
During the tattoo :
Do you tattoo over scars, stretch marks or dark skin ?
👉 Yes ! Every skin is unique, and we adapt your project based on your skin texture and natural color.
Please note :
- No tattooing over recent scars (less than one year old) or keloid scars.
- No tattooing over stretch marks that are still red or purple.
We always evaluate with you before starting, and no risks will be taken. 🛡️
What should I wear to my appointment ?
👉 Choose comfortable clothes that you can easily remove around the tattooed area.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty !
A tattoo ink stain doesn’t come out in the wash... and believe us, we know what we’re talking about. 😅😅
Can I apply numbing cream before ?
👉 Always ask first !
Some creams containing lidocaine can damage your skin and affect the look of your tattoo.
⚠️ Legally, we are not allowed to apply numbing cream (only a doctor can). If you apply one, it’s entirely at your own responsibility.
We can offer a natural, plant-based spray during the session. Don’t forget to let us know if you have any plant allergies ! 🌿
Can I talk while you are tattooing me ?
👉 Yes, as long as you stay relaxed and avoid moving too much while talking.
But don’t forget : we are human too. Sometimes, we need calm to fully concentrate. If we ask you to talk a bit less, or if we use noise-canceling headphones (for example if it’s too crowded), it’s never against you. It’s just to guarantee the best possible work ! 💬🎧
How many breaks can I take ?
👉 We adjust according to your comfort, but we try not to break the rhythm to maintain a good result.
What should I do if I feel unwell during the session ?
👉 Let me know immediately ! We’ll take a break, breathe, and go gently. Your wellbeing comes first : you can ask for a break at any time. We’re here to take care of you before thinking about the tattoo.
What if there’s hair where the tattoo will be ?
👉 No worries, I’ll take care of it before tattooing.
But come clean ! 🚿 We love our job, but not tattooing while holding our breath... Thank you for respecting your tattoo artist ! 😄
Can I listen to music or look at my phone ?
👉 Yes ! No problem, as long as you stay calm and don’t move too much. 🎧📱
If we use noise-canceling headphones (for example if it’s too crowded), it’s never against you.
It’s to guarantee the best possible work ! 💬🎧
After the tattoo :
Is it normal for my tattoo to look ugly during healing ?
👉 Yes ! Healing doesn’t always look pretty : little scabs, dull colors, dry areas — all of this is normal.
Be patient, your tattoo will reveal itself over time. As long as you carefully follow our aftercare recommendations !
Good care = a beautiful result. 🖤✨
Is it serious if my tattoo loses a bit of ink during healing ?
👉 No, it’s normal during the healing process.
Pool, sea, sauna, hammam ?
👉 Forbidden for at least 3 weeks ! 🚫🌊🛁
We can’t repeat it enough : no baths, pools, sea, sauna, or hammam until your tattoo is fully healed.
Why ? Because hot or stagnant water opens the pores of your skin, which can cause the ink to bleed and permanently ruin your tattoo.
A little patience for a perfect tattoo ! ✨
When can I start exercising again ?
👉 Generally, wait 7 to 10 days to avoid friction, sweating, and the risk of infection.
Depending on the location, you might sometimes resume light activity as soon as the next day (for example, if the tattoo is small and far from friction areas).
But don’t forget : a tattoo is also a challenge for your body. It needs rest to heal properly, so take care of yourself ! 🖤💪
How do I take care of my tattoo ?
👉 Carefully follow the aftercare instructions to help your tattoo heal beautifully.
📋 You will receive all the recommendations at the end of the session : they are tailored to our way of working.
Every tattoo artist has their own habits, and what works for one may not work for another.
It’s important to follow our advice, not that of another tattoo artist, even if you’ve already seen one before.
We know our needle style, our inks, and our way of working : it’s the best way to guarantee a beautiful and lasting result ! 💬✨
Practical question tattoo :
Do you tattoo over scars, stretch marks or dark skin ?
👉 Yes ! Every skin is unique, and we adapt your project based on your skin texture and natural color.
⚡ Please note :
- No tattooing over recent scars (less than one year old) or keloid scars.
- No tattooing over stretch marks that are still healing (still red or purple).
We always evaluate with you before starting, and no risks will be taken. 🛡️
How much does a tattoo cost ?
The price depends on the size, the detail, the placement, and the colors.
A black and grey tattoo doesn’t necessarily have the same price as a color tattoo. 🎨
How do I pay for my tattoo session ?
It depends on the tattoo artist :
- Vladka ➔ Payconiq, bank transfer, or cash.
- Lounaki ➔ Bank transfer (attention : French account), PayPal, or cash.
Please arrange your payment in advance to avoid any issues. 💳
Can I apply numbing cream before ?
Always ask first !
Some creams containing lidocaine can damage your skin and affect the final look of the tattoo.
⚠️ Legally, we are not authorized to apply numbing cream (only a doctor can). If you apply one yourself, it’s under your own responsibility.
We can offer you a natural, plant-based spray during the session. Please let us know if you have any plant allergies ! 🌿
What should I wear to my appointment ?
Choose comfortable clothes that you can easily remove around the tattoo area.
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty !
A tattoo ink stain doesn’t come out in the wash... and trust us, we know what we’re talking about. 😅
What if there’s hair where the tattoo will be ?
No worries, I’ll take care of it before tattooing.
But come clean ! 🚿 We love our job, but not tattooing while holding our breath... Thank you for respecting your tattoo artist ! 😄
Can I get tattooed while pregnant or breastfeeding ?
No.
For your health and your baby’s health, it’s recommended to wait until after pregnancy and breastfeeding before getting tattooed. ❤️
During pregnancy, your immune system is more fragile, and there is a risk of infection, even if minimal.
While breastfeeding, an infection or reaction could also pass into your milk.
That’s why, as a precaution, we prefer to wait until everything is finished to tattoo safely.
What is Dermalize Black ?
A protective film for your tattoo, like a second skin. It protects against microbes, prevents rubbing, and helps with beautiful healing.
🕒 How long should I keep it on ?
A single film applied right after the tattoo, to be kept on for 3 to 5 days.
🧴 Do I need cream ?
No ! As long as the film is on, it does all the work.
⚡ How to remove it ?
Easy :
- Gently peel off the film in the shower, using lukewarm water.
- Pull slowly in the direction of the skin (not upwards).
- Above all, do not tear it off dry, it could damage your tattoo.
❓ What if the film comes off early ?
No worries !
- Do not re-stick or apply another film.
- Gently wash with lukewarm water and mild soap,
- Pat dry, Then continue healing in the open air using a suitable cream.

Does a piercing hurt ?
The sensation is quick and bearable. Pain varies depending on the area and your personal sensitivity.
How long does a piercing session last ?
About 30 minutes per piercing, including setup, hygiene, jewelry selection, and aftercare instructions.
Can I stop if I get too scared during the piercing ?
Yes, no problem.
As long as the needle has not pierced your skin, we can stop everything and you can reschedule your appointment without any issue.
Once the piercing has started (meaning the needle is already in place), we can no longer stop.
So if you feel too scared before we begin, let us know right away. We will take the necessary time or postpone your appointment.
Is the jewelry placed immediately after the piercing ?
Yes, the jewelry is inserted right after the piercing is made with sterile equipment.
Is the equipment sterile ?
Yes. All our equipment is first cleaned with ultrasonic waves and then sterilized in an autoclave. You can view our complete hygiene procedure here : https://nocturnal.ink/en/hygiene-in-piercing-an-art-not-just-a-step-2/
Do you use a piercing gun ?
No. All our piercings are done with a sterile needle.
Warning : the piercing gun is dangerous ! It crushes the tissue instead of cleanly piercing it, causing :
-
Invisible internal trauma
-
Very long healing times
-
A high risk of infection
-
Irreversible cartilage deformations
For your health and safety, we only use professional and appropriate techniques.
Can you numb the area before piercing ?
No. Anesthesia can only be performed by a doctor. The procedure is quick and designed to be as painless as possible.
How long does healing take ?
The piercer will give you the exact healing time depending on the piercing you choose. Each area and each person is different.
What should I do if my piercing swells or turns red ?
A slight swelling is normal. If it becomes significant, hot, or painful, contact us quickly for a check-up.
Can I quickly change my jewelry after the piercing?
A check-up is scheduled after one month to shorten the bar if necessary.
You can change the decorative part (like the ball or the top) after 2-3 days, but always at the shop to avoid injuring your piercing.
No rings before complete healing, because a ring moves too much, pulls on the piercing, and can cause irritation, rejection, or delay the healing.
Should I continue aftercare even if everything looks healed ?
Yes. Even if the piercing looks good on the outside, the inside can still be fragile. Continue aftercare until full healing.
Can I play sports after a piercing ?
Yes, as long as you avoid shocks and friction on the pierced area.
Can I swim in a pool or in the sea after a piercing ?
No. Avoid swimming in pools, the sea, or spas for at least 1 to 2 months to prevent infections.
Can I sleep on my piercing ?
No. It is important not to sleep on your piercing to avoid pain, irritation, or deformation.
Is it normal to have a little clear fluid around the jewelry ?
Yes, it is normal. It is lymph fluid, a natural sign of healing.
What type of jewelry do you use for initial piercings ?
We exclusively use implant-grade titanium jewelry to ensure optimal healing.
Do you work with titanium or gold ?
Yes. We use implant-grade titanium for first piercings, and we also offer 14k or 18k gold jewelry on order.
